City of Temples denounces AAP: ‘They are chameleons not worth Aastha of Jammu’
10/28/2022 11:05:05 PM
Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 28: Even as the Aam Aadmi Party is stuck amid allegations of numerous scams and other serious complaints, the people of the City of Temples here have denounced the AAP for its recent controversies linked to Hindu religion saying that the party of “chameleons is not worth the Aastha of Jammu.” Whereas, the AAP government in the national capital had banned the bursting of crackers on the festival of Diwali this year, a few weeks prior to it, the party leadership faced criticism for attending a religious conversion event in same Delhi, where the sentiments of Hindu religion were allegedly hurt and police filed a complaint. Facing public criticism over alleged misbehavior of AAP towards the Hindu religion, the party chief and New Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal played his “damage control card” of seeking pictures of the goddesses on the currency notes. But instead of benefitting the party, the move has boomeranged even in poll-bound Gujarat. The people of Jammu on the other hand are saying that Kejriwal’s party has got exposed for its “dupl...

Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 28: In yet another setback for the Aam Aadmi Party, prominent musician and AAP supporter Vishal Dadlani, who had composed the signature tune “Lage Raho Kejriwal” for the Delhi Assembly elections, has come down heavily on the Arvind Kejriwal-led party's “poll stunt demand” to introduce the images of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh on currency notes. While the common people have been saying that the AAP was resorting to “double speak” by first banning bursting of crackers of Diwali and then demanding images of goddesses on currency notes, Dadlani said: "The Constitution of India states that we are a Secular Socialist Republic. Hence, religion must have NO...

Terror attacks declined after Pak’s inclusion in FATF grey list: Indian official tells UNSC panel
10/28/2022 11:04:26 PM
Agencies Mumbai, Oct 28: Major terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir declined after Pakistan was included in the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) grey list, a senior Indian government official said here on Friday. The United Nations Security Council’s Counter-Terrorism Committee should examine this correlation, said joint secretary Safi Rizvi. Making a presentation at a special meeting of the UNSC panel, which India is hosting, Rizvi, however, did not name Pakistan at any point. But he noted that after the chances of Pakistan getting delisted from the grey list increased, terrorist activities too increased. Jammu and Kashmir recorded five attacks on `hard targets’ — well-defended...
