A Kashmir watcher while talking to Early Times said, "Fifty percent of the business community has started defying the protest calendar issued by the Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani, while the remaining is waiting for police and other security agencies to give a go ahead to them." He said, "At present shops in Kashmir are closed due to the fear of stone pelters and miscreants, who have been threatening people and asking them not to resume the daily chores till Azadi arrives."
