Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 5: Even as the government of Jammu and Kashmir flaunts of promoting cultural activities across the union territory, the Kala Kendra in Jammu, which is the hub of such activities in the winter capital is set to lose space. Even though the Jammu city has huge chunk of open government land, the administration has decided to take away four kanals of prized land from the Kala Kendra for construction of official building of another department. A travel agent Rakesh Sharma while talking to a local news channel said, “Due to COVID-19 pandemic we faced immense losses, when now the pilgrims have started arriving in Katra town, they are being harassed. The harassment is aimed at extracting money from the drivers.” He said, “The government had promised us that the compensation will be provided to the travel agents and tour operators.
