Cong demands statehood but maintains silence on Art 370
12/11/2020 12:09:16 AM
Early Times Report jammu, Dec 10: Congress on Thursday reiterated demand of the restoration of statehood to UT but party leadership preferred to maintain silence on bringing back Article 370 and 35-A. Interacting with media persons at Jammu after campaigning, first time, for party candidates during the on-going District Development Councils (DDCs) elections, AICC incharge J&K, Rajni Patil reiterated the demand of restoring statehood to J&K. She questioned BJP and the Central Govt. to tell the people when the statehood is being restored to J&K besides securing jobs and land rights to the people which is a universal demand of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The Congress party shall struggle for securing these rights to the people of J&K. Patil predicted that Congress will form its government in J&K and the party will bring back statehood. Interestingly Congress leadership is vociferously demanding statehood for J&K but the party leaders could not muster the guts to raise the demand of restoration of Article 370 and 35-A. Congress leadership is very much aware that demanding rest...
