Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 21: The posts for various specializations in the Government Medical College and Hospital and its associated hospitals have been deliberated lying vacant since their inceptions due to the lackadaisical approach of the senior authority of the Health and Medical Education Department which has been hampering the functioning of the said hospitals. It is in the place to mention here that once side the higher authority of the concerned the department is opening new medical colleges in the Jammu and Kashmir for overcome the overcrowded and with the aim to provide better healthcare facilities to the patients but another hand side the existing big hospitals have been struggling for survival. As per officials, out of 310 posts of faculty in GMC&H Jammu, only 211 posts have been filled so far and 99 remaining unfulfilled. A centrally sponsored scheme 'Restructured-Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Program (R-APDRP)' was launched in Jammu and Kashmir in 2014. Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 21: The non seriousness approach of the General Administration Department (GAD) towards Right to Information (RTI) Act can be gauged from the fact that it has not given the mobile numbers of its Public Information Officers and 1st Appellate Authority on its website. Sources told Early Times that the act of GAD for not proving mobile numbers of PIOs and FAA seems to be clear attempt of weakening the RTI Act, which is mandatory as per RTI guidelines to make available the personal contact numbers. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Dec 21: The state High Court, post August 5, has adjourned for tenth consecutive time a petition on ban for use on pellet guns in the J&K. A division bench of Justices Ali Mohammad Magrey and Dhiraj Singh Thakur adjourned the plea with the observation that "only difficulty" in considering the matter was "non-availability" of the counsel for petitioners-Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association.
