Defeat of Sham, Shakti: Warning signals for BJP’s ex-ministers 12/23/2020 11:40:24 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 23: Despite strong wave in favour of the party in Jammu province, defeat of two former ministers of BJP is a warning signal for those party leaders who enjoyed the PDP by bartering wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu region. Two former ministers of BJP, Sham Lal Choudhary and Shakti Raj Parihar had contested District Development Councils (DDCs) elections but both of them lost. Parihar had contested on two seats but failed to emerge victorious on any of the two. Although BJP’s stalwart Sham Lal Choudhary lost election by a narrow margin of only 11 votes, his defeat is an indication of people’s anger against former ministers who had failed to assert when Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti were chief ministers of J&K.
