Jammu, Mar 14: Over 30,000 employees, including engineers posted on deputation basis in Jammu as well as in Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL and KPDCL) are likely to face salary crisis in the next financial year also.
Sources told Early Times that instead of keeping separate budgetary provisions for disbursing salaries of the employees, government has decided to give grant-in-aid to the corporations for the next financial year.
They said that the employee/official union members of both the corporations had been demanding regular budgetary provisions to pay the salaries of the employees as well as officials, posted in these corporations.
“During the creation of new corporations, the employees and officials of the Power Development Department (PDD) were sent on deputation.
