TOP STORY OF THE DAY
Rasana has changed Jammu's political scene
No to Kashmiri hegemony
5/28/2018 11:50:03 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, May 28: The January 2018 developments in Jammu's Rasana in Hiranagar tehsil have changed the political scene of Jammu province to a considerable extent. At Rasana, an eight-year-old tribal girl was allegedly raped and murdered and her body was recovered on January 17 from forest area. Ever since then, developments have been unfolding not only in Kathua and Samba districts but also in other districts of Jammu province, including Jammu district, which suggest that the people of Jammu are no more prepared to live a life of servitude or accept Kashmiri hegemony over the state's polity and economy. What has changed the Jammu's scenario is the refusal of the authorities to the popular demand in Jammu for CBI probe into the Kathua case and the manner the J&K Government and its Crime Branch and the BJP Government at the centre have handled the issue. They should have accepted the demand as it had the backing of impartial authorities like the Bar Council of India and Group of Intellectuals and Academicians and all civil society groups in Jammu, including the J&K H...
