Jammu, May 28: The January 2018 developments in Jammu's Rasana in Hiranagar tehsil have changed the political scene of Jammu province to a considerable extent. At Rasana, an eight-year-old tribal girl was allegedly raped and murdered and her body was recovered on January 17 from forest area. Ever since then, developments have been unfolding not only in Kathua and Samba districts but also in other districts of Jammu province, including Jammu district, which suggest that the people of Jammu are no more prepared to live a life of servitude or accept Kashmiri hegemony over the state's polity and economy.
What has changed the Jammu's scenario is the refusal of the authorities to the popular demand in Jammu for CBI probe into the Kathua case and the manner the J&K Government and its Crime Branch and the BJP Government at the centre have handled the issue. Jammu, May 28: Miffed over his continuous neglect, an Inspector General of Police in state police has finally opted for a central deputation consequent upon which he has been posted as IG in a paramilitary force.
With the IGP ranked officer moving out of the state on a central deputation, the strength of police officers in the department has fallen further.
Sources told Early Times, the said IPS officer was annoyed with the department as he was denied a suitable posting which prompted him to opt for a central deputation.

Jammu, May 28: Even as many in Kashmir claim to "champions of human rights", every such voice has been silent over the slaughtering of a man, whose throat was slit by militants, right before his family in Hajin area of north Kashmir.
On May 26 night, around five militants stormed house of 38 -year-old Mohammad Yaqoob Wagay in Gund Preng village and virtually butchered him before his seven -year-old son and wife.
