Ashwani Sharma Early times report Udhampur, July 7: Two persons were killed and 54 others injured, some critically, in a tragic road accident at Keya area of hilly Ramnagar district in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory on Thursday when the bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and landed in a deep gorge. About 14 of the injured were stated to be critical and were under treatment at District Hospital Udhampur while he 30 others were being treated at Sub District Hospital Ramnagar. Agencies New Delhi, July 7: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will brief the members of the Parliamentary Consultative Committee on Defence, comprising MPs from ruling as well as opposition parties, on Monday, on various aspects of the recently-launched Agnipath recruitment, the ministry said on Thursday. The three service chiefs and defence secretary are also likely to be present in the meeting, the defence ministry said. Man-eater leopard that killed 3 children shot dead in Uri

Early Times Report Srinagar, July 7: A leopard believed to have preyed on three children last month was killed in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said. In June, the leopard mauled three minors in the Uri area creating fear among the residents. Later, the Jammu and Kashmir wildlife department ordered the killing of a man-eating leopard. Wild Life Warden Rashid Naqash said the leopard was killed at around 11 pm on Wednesday at Bernate Boniyar after repeated attempts of capturing it alive.
