6/15/2018 10:51:10 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, June 15: A meeting of plus two in charge lecturers forum held a meeting under the chairmanship of Amar Nath Thakur to discuss the on going strike of SSA ReT and ReT teachers head teachers.
RMSA teachers and headmasters. Speakers criticized the state government and education department for miss handling the entire issue of SSA and SMSA teachers since the very beginning as a result teachers are on roads today . Forum members said that these teachers have been serving in the department since 2000 and first batch was regularized in 2005 during Mufti Mohd Sayeed government these teachers have been promoted in master grade and as in charge lecturers . They have given time bound promotions and sixth pay commission benefits . Transferred against the state plan posts after regularization in some cases .department has deputed them for b.ed trainings departmentally but now they are denied the benefit of 7th pay commission. They denied from regular monthly salary .
Now finance department say that Noor and Ujjala societies would give the benefit of 7th pay commission . This attitude of state government is totally wrong unconstitutional unlawful and discriminatory. When seventh pay has been provided to all state government employees then why teachers working under SSA and RMSA are being denied .
head teachers working under SSA and masters working under RMSA are appointed very earlier before the beginning of these schemes under SSRB in 1992 to 2004 and they were transferred to head the middle and high schools but they are also denied the benefit of 7th pay commission now which too is discrimination and unlawful .
It clearly shows that education department has been taken non seriously by the authorities and by the state government since 2000 till date .
Education is the priority and basic fundamental right of all citizens but those who provide education to students and who build the career of students and the nation are discriminated humiliated and denied their right of salary and other rights .
Ret teachers were the who were given a meager honorarium of rs 1500 per month earlier and then 3000 before regularization .they spread the light of education in all far flung and slum urban areas to teach the poor people children . Amar Nath Thakur urged the state government to provide regular salary as per 7th pay commission and delink the SSA salary of teachers from centre to state plan . He further added that plus two in charge lecturers of the state are with striking teachers and fully support their basic rightful fundamental demands.
