'Kashmiris can only mourn, they cannot celebrate'
Blast at Manasbal park
6/18/2018 11:37:21 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, June 18: A low intensity blast at Manasbal park in Ganderbal district during Eid celebrations on Sunday is an indication that terrorists operating in Kashmir don't want people to even celebrate the festivals.
At least five civilians were wounded in the blast which many people believe was a warning to the people. "Terrorists carrying out a blast in a crowded place where children, women and men were present has once again proved that terror has no religion," said an analyst.
He said, "Situation in Kashmir has turned from bad to worse and the terrorists want to establish their writ by targeting the civilians. They want to create fear to keep people away from everything."
A Kashmir watcher said, "People who support separatism and terrorism in Kashmir should wake up and realize that terrorists have turned their guns towards the common people and no one is safe."
It's in place to mention here that when the blast occurred at Manasbal park on Sunday evening hundreds of people were present in the park and were celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr. "The blast created panic and it led to parents losing track of their children. The injured civilians were rushed to the nearby hospitals," said a witness. "Had the blast been of higher intensity many lives could have been lost," the witness added.
An analyst said, "Blast at Manasbal park has terrified the people. It's a clear message to people to stay away from parks and resorts. The terrorists and their bosses want Kashmiris to always remain in the state of mourning and if they try to rejoice or celebrate they would be targeted."
He said that this blast should serve as an eye opener for the people who take part in protests and clashes and target security forces with stones. "People of Kashmir need to wake up and realize that terrorists and their bosses sitting across the Line of Control are not their friends," the analyst added.
"By supporting terrorists and stone-pelters they are doing a big disservice to their own people. Young boys who are joining terrorist ranks are ruining their lives as their days are numbered," he said, adding, "It looks like that people sitting across the LoC have decided to turn Kashmir into another Syria and Afghanistan. If people of Kashmir do not stop supporting terrorists and the separatists Kashmir can turn into a hell where everyday people would be killed and the saner voices will be silenced forever."
