Top officials review security situation in south Kashmir ahead of Eid-ul-Adha | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 20: Top officials of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Monday reviewed the security situation in south Kashmir's Anantnag district. A police spokesperson said ADGP Law and Order Munir Ahmad Khan accompanied by IGP Kashmir SP Pani and IG CRPF Ravideep Sahi today visited Anantnag to review the security situation in the district. "In a high-level meeting, the security arrangements for the upcoming festival of Eid ul Adha in Anantnag district were reviewed by the top police officials in south Kashmir," he said. The spokesperson said the top officers were provided with an in-depth briefing about the prevailing security situation in the district while the officers also held a general security review concerning the law and order situation for the district. Later, in view of the forthcoming festival of Eid, he said, "the officials in the district were directed that the market checking in the areas should be intensified and those found indulging in malpractices should be appropriately booked so that the common masses do not suffer." |
