SPA asks authorities to take steps against anti encroachment

JAMMU, Oct 16: The State Pensioners Association held meeting in connection with the problem of anti encroachment drive at Jammu city, Double Traffic, Auto fair of Auto Rickshaw. The meeting was chaired by Madan Lal Abrol General Secretary of the State Pensioners of Jammu.
The 1st phase started by IG Basant Rather for anti encroachment drive. This step was appreciated by all peoples and senior citizens, but unfortunately he was transferred to Srinagar.The Municipal Corporation started anti encroachment drive and marked yellow line in all areas of Jammu City and Bazar, but failed to take action on them.
The shopkeepers occupied the footpath and roads by their goods, cars and rehries. There is no way to walk, double traffic running in the city like Kanak Mandi, Link Road, Rajinder Bazar and other parts of the city. All the shopkeepers put their articles when municipal employees try to raid they know when the municipal employees are coming, it is negligence of the municipal corporation, they should take photograph of the Bazar and street. Shopkeeper has own their cars and rehries. The Association members stressed upon the Government to take early step to save the lives of the Jammu City. They appealed to the Governor Satya Pal Malik concerned advisor and Chairman of Municipal Corporation to take early step. They appealed to the concerned authorities and Municipal Corporation to take steps as early as possible for any anti encroachment drive. The traffic deptt should fix the rates of the auto drivers they should get the fair on meter. No auto driver should run auto rikshaw without meter.
