JAC castigates Union Govt for bringing ordinance on reservation
2/20/2019 10:29:23 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 20: Joint Action Committee (General Category) has assailed Modi government for bringing ordinance on reservation in promotions.
According to press release, JKGCWF , Aarakshan Virodhi Manch jointly today held an strong but peaceful protest here in exhibition ground under the leadership of Ved Praksh Sharma, President Brahaman Sabha and Convenor JAC.
Madan Lal Narad, Gen secty AVM, Ram Pal Seth, President AVM were also among the protestors who were protesting against the ordinance introduced by State government on the behest of BJP leaders and appeasement policy of Central government advocating for reservation in promotions against the rule of law.
Ved Prakash Sharma strongly condemned the action of State SAC to murder the Rule of law, wherein they have brought and sent the ordinance to the President of India through Union Cabinet to overrule the High court order of scrapping reservation in promotions without even taking note of the fact that the said matter is pending before the Supreme court of India and there is a "status quo" order in the matter.
The action of State government tantamount to murder of general category people.
"It is murder of Merit and Seniority, muzzling the right to equality and justice. The Ordinance under the President Rule is non-representative of the aspirations of the general masses and the hasty manner in which it has been introduced by unelected representatives speaks volumes about the partisan approach of the BJP state and central leadership, is political in nature and far from premises of law and justice", they said.
The Joint Action committee said that it was categorically clear that BJP stands exposed before the general masses and have seen the kind of vote bank politics that they have indulged into all over India.
They have muzzled the voice of Supreme court and overruled the judgment of Supreme Court. BJP has conceived as if General category people have sold their right to vote and have taken oath to vote for BJP ,which is totally wrong conception we will make them taste the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections if they go ahead with the proposed ordinance.
Similar protests were led by Er Salim Bandey Convenor JAC Poonch at Poonch against reservation in promotions.
