The Shankar shop is one of the oldest shop in city which is in service of the people for the last 45 years and it has been started by Shankar Dass on whose name this shop is named after. As it is centrally located, people from all walks of life take food items inside and love to come again and again. Chola Bathura or Puri, Rice Rajma or Chole, Kulcha, and Lassi is available here on affordable rates and right from the morning, this shop remains occupied by the customers who throng here.
The Shankar shop is situated opposite Jewel Hotel and cinema and by its location, who ever visits Jewel Chowk choose this shop to fill his tummy.
Mostly college students and passer by throng the shop. The people from far flung areas like Rajouri, Poonch, Kathua, Samba and other areas love to eat here especially the Puri Chole which is its main item. The shop is fully air conditioned and having neat and clean atmosphere. The quality of food is maintained every time and so far no complaints have come, this was disclosed by the owner who interacted with Early Times correspondent.
He further said that proper hygiene is maintained and under no circumstances you will find our food items below standard.
The satisfaction of the customers is our main motto and we will continue to remain in the service of people. We always have rush here and after durbar move, it doubles and we have created extra space just to gibe proper sitting facilities to our esteemed customers. |
