Jammu, June 22 : As part of celebration of the International Day of Yoga, various organizations and educational institutes were observed International Yoga Day. Aadarsh Bhartiya Samaj a Social Volunteer Organisation celebrated International Yoga Day'. On the occasion Dr Ved Parkash Shastri appealed all to perform and practice Yoga daily for better health. He added that Yoga keeps physically fit, mentally awake and morally upright International Yoga Day was celebrated with fervour, pomp and gaiety at Air Force Station Udhampur on 21 June 2015. All personnel including families and children participated with full enthusiasm and became the part of this momentous and historic occasion. The programme was conducted as per Common Yoga Protocol issued by Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India. Yog Guru Shem Sher and Parag from Patanjali Udhampur performed Yogasans with the other airwarriors. National Cadet Corps (NCC), the premier youth organisation of the nation created a record for the largest yoga performance simultaneously at multiple venues by a single uniformed youth organization, yesterday. The National Development Organization J&K, observed an International Day of Yoga at Government Higher Secondary School (Boys) Poonch along-with team members and local prominent persons. The organization also was conducted one month free Yoga Camp for poonch peoples. The organization also conducted free Yoga Camp at Rajouri. To mark the first international Yoga Day, the students of Bhartiya Vidiy Mandir, High School, Rambanperformed Yoga Pranayam and meditation at Ramban yesterday. The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, MLA Ramban. Neelam Kumar Langeh in presence of guest of honour Deputy Chief Education officer, Ramban, Bal Thaploo, Mohan Lal Sharma special guest, Subhash Kapoor, President of BVMHS, Management Committee (MC) and Dr.Uttam, General Secretary, MC. NIOS Regional Centre, Chandigarh organized a workshop on International Yoga Day on 21st June 2015. Staff members, supporting staff, learners, coordinators and other people associated with NIOS as well as people from nearby places participated in the Yoga Camp. Yoga Trainer Deepak Arun from Ludhiana and Nikhil Kaushik and Badri Prasad trained the participants. The Directorate of Students Welfare (DSW) Central University of Kashmir (CUK) in collaboration with Government College of Physical Education, Ganderbal, celebrated International Yoga Day at varsity's Nowgam Academic block on Sunday. The student representatives of both the institutions performed different Yoga Asnas shown by the trainer, Irfan Hussain from the Government College of Physical Education Ganderbal. To mark presence and support the initiative taken by PM of India, a week long Yoga camp was organized by themanaging committee of MahaKali Parshula Wali Charandham Temple situated at the Bank of River Chinab Pull Mohalla in Doda District. Joginder Sagar, Rahul, Rohit, Karun, Purakh Singh, Umesh, Jeet Singh, Roshan Lal, Suram Singh (Khadku Bhai), Tarun, Sanjay, Tilak Raj, Aman, Dr. Sham,Ravi , Purav, Bhavishya, Rajinder, Tuli, Tinku Sha and kids of the area participated in the Yoga Camp. International Yoga Day was celebrated with full gaiety and enthusiasm. All the students and faculty members of Sai Shyam College of Education and Sai Shyam Public School participated in the event. The participants took keen interest in the different yoga asana like Surua Namaskar, Anulom Vilom, Kapalbhati and other asanas were also performed. The world Yoga Day, the legendary and the longest day of the calendar year - was celebrated on June 21st, 2015 by 42nd Bn Sashastra Seema Bal, Batote (J&K) alognwith its various Coys deployed in Jammu, Doda and Ramban Districts of J&K state. At Bn HQ, 85 officers and men of Unit participated in the programme. Around three thousand NCC cadets took participation in the yoga camp organized in the college ground of GGMS Science College, Jammu here today. The camp was organized by the 2 J&K NCC boys battalion . The event was managed by Lt Colonel Monisha. Priya Sethi , MoS Education and his husband Yudhvir Sethi were chief guest on the occasion. The NCC cadets were of Jammu, Akhnoor and NCC 's navel wing cadets from Srinagar. The cadets were trained to perform the various asanas during the one day yoga camp. Earlier, Priya Sethi, apprised the cadets about the benefits of the yoga. Lt Colonel Monisha also spoke on the occasion. She stressed upon the cadets to go through the yoga as routine basis to attain physical fitness as well as mental peace of mind. |
