Daljit Chib calls on Haryana Agriculture minister to explore new techniques

Jammu, June 22 : Jammu and Kashmir Kissan Advisory Board Vice-Chairman-Daljit Singh Chib today called on Agriculture Minister of Haryana-Om Prakash Dhankar to discuss various issues concerning promotion of agriculture in J&K. Meanwhile, Chib was also introduced with latest technologies being used for better yield.
The interaction was also attended by Board Secretary-GN Mir , Director General Horticulture Haryana and Chief Executive officer Haryana Marketing board.
During this course of interaction, Dhankar has assured all possible help to promote agriculture in J&K. "Haryana Agriculture Minister has assured us that they will share all new techniques with J&K. As Haryana is considered to be rich in agriculture, their help in promoting this sector in J&K would usher benefits for the farmers here," said Chib, adding that they have consented to lend all possible help in terms of advanced technology, with which J&K can also yield better crop.
He said that they have also requested the Haryana government to train J&K farmers at par with Haryana with latest techniques, so that J&K will grow in this sector like Haryana and Punjab. "Hary-ana agriculture minister has assured that they will train farmers of Jammu and Kashmir with latest technologies," said Chib. Meanwhile, Hary-ana government also supported state horticulture and agriculture by lending ten acres of land for buyer-seller at Ghanore in Haryana. "This buyer-seller mandi will act as an alternate mandi for the farming community, which will help them to have more profit and less loss.
Due to delay in reach at Azadpur mandi in Delhi, product of these farmers get rotten and farmers have to incur loss. This alternate mandi will help them to get proper returns of their labour," said Chib adding the work on the infrastructure in under construction and once it gets completed "J&K farmers will have their buyer-seller mandi," he said.
