Jammu, June 22 : The Water Works (PHE) Employees Association has decided to observe one day strike on June 27, as a mark of protest against what they called apathetic attitude of authorities against employees' demands.
According to press release, a deputation of WWEA today called on Chief Engineer Jammu in connection with their demands including regularization of daily waters, CP workers, need base workers, ITI trained workers, implementation of minimum wages act, release of pending wages, convening of DPC meeting of all cadre twice in a year beside others.
The issue of non-payment of arrears of 17% DA hike to PHE employees was also discussed. Miffed over the attitude of administration, the WWEA decided to go on one day strike outside Chief Engineer office on June 27, for speedy redressal of their demands.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, Vinod Kumar, Ajay Sharma, Raman Kumar, Som Nath beside others were also present in the delegation. |
