Early Times Report Srinagar, June 22: Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Jammu & Kashmir Region, has been administering ESI Scheme for 1.18 lakh covered employees in Jammu & Kashmir and providing social security to them besides medical services and other benefits to 4.72 lakh beneficiaries. Under the scheme, full medical treatment is provided to the beneficiaries, besides compensation for salary losses due to sickness, accidents, etc as well as pensionary benefits to the dependants of the employee who meet with fatal employment accident during the course of employment, including while commuting to and from the workplace. A first ever Health Check-up for beneficiaries of ESI Scheme was organized at AEGIS Complex, Rangreth, Srinagar on 22 June, 2015 by a team of Doctors and paramedical staff from ESI Dispensaries Rangreth and Khanmoh and ESIC Hospital, Jammu. Dr. Om Prakash, State Medical Commissioner, ESIC, Jammu & Kashmir and Dr. Rehana Kausar, Administrative Medical Officer, ESI Scheme, J&K supervised the medical check up operations. Over 160 employees of institution were examined in the health camps. |
