Early Times Report Kathua, June 22: Indian Ex-servicemen Movement today demanded one rank- one pension and submitted a memorandum to President of India Pranab Mukherjee. According to press release, Gian Singh Pathania, Chairman PACWC said "OROP that is the most genuine demand of defence fraternity which was finally sanctioned by UPA 2 on Feb 17, 2014 after a protracted representations by service HQs and the retired defence fraternity." He said the same was included as priority action by President of India during his address to both houses of parliament on the formation of new government in may 2014 The Prime Minister of India and Finance Minister also stated that the required funds are available but inspite of all these assurances, implementation of OROP has not seen the light of the day that disappoints lacs of Ex service men who have lots of hope to OROP. Col. PL Choudhary, Capt Kamlesh Jasrotia, Sanjhi Ram, Kulbir Singh, Manjeet Singh, Nanak Singh and Suraj Singh also addressed in the press conference. |
