Jammu, July 24 : Continuing the programmes under "Swachh Bharat Week, 2015" the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC)organized a quiz competition regarding 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' in collaboration with Model Institute of Education and Research (MIER) .
According to press release, Minister of State for Education, Culture & Information, Priya Sethi was the Chief Guest and Municipal Commissioner, Shoujanya Sharma (KAS) was the guest of honour. Chairman, Dr. Arun Gupta and Director Renu Gupta were also present.
There were four teams ("A", "B", "C" & team "D) participated in the quiz competition. The team "A - Einstein House" comprising of Avikanshit Dogra, Nishita Aggarwal, Sagrika Sharma , team "B - Darwin House" comprising of Abishiek , Maryam, Priyanshu , team "C - Newton House" comprising of Divanshu Sharma, Vikas Kundal Pankaj Keenar and team "D - Edison " comprising of Anmol Kashap , Purnima Uzma . The first prize of Rs. 3000 of the quiz completion was won by team "D", second prize of Rs. 2000 won by team "A", third of Rs. 1000 was won by team "C" and 4th and final prize of Rs. 500 (consolation) was won by team "B".
While speaking on the occasion Hon'ble Minister lauded the role of Jammu Municipal Corporation and Model Institute of Education & Research, Jammu for this effort. She also congratulates all the winners and runners and also distributed the trophies, Souvenirs and cash prizes to the participants. She also apprised that she has also gain lot of knowledge from the participants of the competition who bravely answered.
Commissioner JMC, Sharma thanked the MoS for her kind presence and encouraging the organizers.
The others from the Institution side grace the programme were Joint Director, Dr, Adit Gupta, Principal Usha Gadoo, Rupa Gupta, Management Representative and Manju Wali Co-ordinator. |
