MLA Banihal visits rain affected areas

BANIHAL, July 24: MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani accompanied with District Development Commissioner Ramban Farooq Shah Bukhari and other senior officers of District today visited several rain affected areas of Banihal.
According to official, the Member Legislative Assembly Vikar Rasool alongwith DDC Ramban and other senior officers of district took the stock of situation and damage caused due to the recent incessant rains and cloud bursts in the area.
During the tour, Vikar Rasool Wani visited rain and cold burst hit villages of Arbal, Chareel, Nowgam, Danar and Reshibass and interacted with the aggrieved locals.After taken detailed stock of damaged public infrastructure and standing crops caused due to the flood like situation arisen during recent incessant rains and cold burst in these areas, the visiting local MLA directed the officials for early restoration of damaged infrastructure and immediate construction of protection bands and crate walls in most affected villages of the Banihal area.
He also exhorted the Executive Engineer R&B to start Construction of RCC culvert on Danar Road and requested DC Ramban to manage the compensation of damaged houses which was completely damaged in recently rains.
