JAMMU, Sept 21: Indian Dental Association (IDA), Jammu branch today conducted a lecture on the topic " Medical Emergencies in Clinical Practice" at the Convention hall of The Business School, University of Jammu According to press release, Dr. Gautam Sharma, Secretary IDA, informed that more than 120 candidates who includes medical, dental, ayurvedic, homeopathic and physiotherapy practitioners attended this lecture as no practitioner can continue to ignore the medical emergencies which are a neglected part of our practices. This lecture is focused on medical conditions of significance to clinical practice and their management. Dr. Rohit Punga, speaker on the occasion, enjoys the privilege of being one of the very few speakers in the country in the field who lectures extensively on medical emergencies & primary care in maxillofacial trauma. 'It was a completely clinically oriented presentation encompassing basic life support manoeuvres which were discussed in detail. The clinical presentation, diagnosis and the emergency drugs & their doses were the important aspect of this programme' said Dr.Bhupinder Singh, President of IDA. Executive body of IDA thanked Prof.B.C.Sharma, Director, Business School, University of Jammu for providing their Convention hall at such a short notice.
