JAMMU, Sept 21: Wrestler Farooq of Sarore in Jammu lifted the 51st Katal Batal Nagrota Dangal title defeating Anku of Himachal Pradesh in the main bout that lasted for 17 minutes at village Later Kala in tehsil Nagrota of district Jammu. Farooq was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 12,000 while runners-up wrestler, Anku got Rs. 9,000. In second main bout, Lallu of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu beat Amrit Paul Sharma of Amritsar in Punjab to earn Rs 9,000 cash prize. Runners-up, Lallu given away Rs 6,000. The third bout won by Amir Khan of Bajrangi Akhara, who trounced Raj Kumar of Delhi. Other Results : Bobari of Sarore beat Chand of Amritsar, Sadiq Ali of Domana Akhara beat Javed Khan of J&K Police of Nargada, Kalu of Bishnah beat Raj Kumar of Delhi, Amir Khan of Nargada beat Munish of Amritsar, Rajesh Sharma of J&K Police beat Devinder of Pargal, Vijay of Bai-Bajatha beat Billa of Domana, Yashar of Manwal beat Mohd. Mansu of Gajansoo, Muneer Khan of Nagrota beat Sahil of Amritsar. Bouts played between Karan of Amritsar and Akram of Bajrangi Akhara and Gopal of Jindrah and Asif of Bajrangi Alhara ended in a draw. Joint Secretary of J&K State Sports Council and president of the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma was chief guest who distributed cash prizes among winners and runners-up wrestlers. Mangal Singh presided while Director, Directorate of Distance Education, University of Jammu, Vijay Deep Singh and Ram Paul Sharma were guests of honour. This dangal was organized by Katal Batal Dangal Committee in Collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. Prominent persons who were present were Sarpanch Rehmat Ali, Sukhdev Singh, Naresh Kumar and Madan Lal. Members and technical officials who helped for smooth conduct of this event included Sarpanch Kulbushan Singh, Mohinder Singh, Gouri Ram, Dharam Chand, Sansar Singh, Satoo Singh, Surinder Singh, Joginder Kumar, Tharu Singh, Gardhari Lal, Mangal Singh, Kaka Choudhary, Jaqoob Mohd., Balwinder Singh, Vijay Kumar, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Mohd.
