JAMMU, Nov 9 : Senior vice president of the J&K Billiards and Snooker Association, Jaideep Manocha, treasurer, Sohail Khalid, Vidit Gowri and Abhishek Pathania today sailed into the quarterfinals of senior snooker event in the 23rd Jammu District Billiards and Snooker Championship underway at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
Earlier, in the pre-quarterfinals, Jaideep out played Arjun Sharma 3-2 (66-50, 49-56, 57-10, 57-35) while Sohail defeated Furkan Wani 3-1 (56-34, 56-01, 17-77, 72-17). Abhishek Pathania won his pre-quarterfinal game played against Akshay Kumar 3-2 (51-63, 52-12, 14-62, 73-33, 59-37).
Meanwhile, in a second round match of senior snooker, Jaideep Manocha beat Aseem Ghai 3-2 (56-35, 30-55, 61-10, 41-52, 56-40).
"We could not complete today's fixture because of unscheduled power cut at the Billiards Hall.
Now, a couple of matches shall be played late in the evening," member of the organizing committee, Jaideep said. |
