UDHAMPUR, Sept 11: A man died instantly after he accidentally touched a high-tension wire while adjusting his luggage on the roof of a passenger bus at Kulwanta bus stand in Ramnagar area of the district today. He was identified as Abdul Gani (45), son of Mohammad Hussain of Battal Balian, Udhampur.
The bus (JK02AQ/5353) was parked at the bus stand in Kulwanta village when Gani climbed onto its roof. However, while adjusting his luggage, he accidentally touched the high-tension wire, resulting in his instant death.Ramnagar police have registered a case in this connection.
