RR holds Paralympic cricket match at Seer-Saliya.

Anantnag, April 20: Army’s 3RR based in Aishmuqam area of Anantnag
Thursday held Paralympic cricket match in Seer-Saliya cricket stadium
in bid to boost the morale of Paralympic team of the state.
Commanding Officer of 3rd Rastriya Rifles, Charan Preet Singh
inaugurated the proceedings of the match this morning in presence of
local youth at Seer-Saliya cricket stadium. Para-Team A and Para-Team
B played the match and pulled crowds. Para-Team B won this match and
lifted the trophy.
Jammu and Kashmir Paralympics Cricket Team Capitan, Amir Hussain
Lone-Arms less Cricketer- was the main attraction of the match as
local population turned to see how Lone, who was lost his both arms in
an incident, plays cricket.
Army in a communiqué said that all the participating players were
awarded and were provided possible assistance.
“Army will continue to help Youth of Kashmir so that they can exhibit
their skills not only at national but at international level,”
communiqué reads.
Army said that it has also kick started various initiatives under
project Sadhbahavana for the benefit of Kashmiris and Youth in
Particular.
Local populace thanked Army for conducting such an event and urged
them to continue holding such initiatives
