JAMMU, Sept 13: National Secular Forum has constituted its unit GDC Samba, and appointed as its Rahul Sharma President, of the GDC Samba.
The unit was constituted during a convention of the NSF, held in the Samba under the chairmanship of Dr Vikas Sharma NSF State president who also discussed the various issues and demands of the students. Rakesh Slathia was appointed as Chairman. Arun Singh Was appointed as Sr. Vice-president.
Sushil Sharma, Arun Bhardwaj, Vikas Sharma and Shivani Verma were appointed as vice-president. Manik Damathia was appointed as general secretary. Sahil Singh, Akash Sharma, Jagmohan Singh, Raman Baloria, and Shallu Dogra were appointed as secretary.
Vikrant Slathia, as organizing secretary, Jatin Slathia, as Publicity Secretary, Avishek Sharma as press secretary, Rohit Chouhan as cashier while, Charan Pargotra, Abhinash Jamwal, Sandeep Sharma, Bhanu Slathia, Ajay Kumar, Rishabh Sharma, and others were elected members. Addressing the convention here today, Dr Vikas Sharma said that the favouritism came to fore when the central Govt enhanced the PG Seats in J&K State to 70, out of which Medical College Jammu got only 13 seats while 57 seats go to Kashmir Valley which corroborated the fact that people of Jammu were constantly doled out discrimination in all spheres. He also said in coming days, the Forum cadre will launch separate statehood campaign across the region for the cause of people.
