|Staffers leave early, hamper healthcare|

Jammu, Sept 13: The staffers of GMC&H including nursing orderly (NOs), nurses and others leave their duties midway to accompany their relatives to specialists.
Staff members are, posted in different sections of the hospital, often seen to visit doctors' room during duty hours to get their known people examined by specialist doctors.
"A patient from Kalakote, suffering from shoulder injury, told Early Times that he visited for the second time in OPD of Orthopedic to get check up and further treatment.
"Both times, I witnessed that there is no one following the system, we (I and other patients) have been sitting and waiting for our turn since morning. The staffers come and enter the room with their acquaintances." he narrated, adding that there is totally mess.
Moreover, the orthopedic patients, who wanted to remove plaster, faced inconvenience in absence of the cutter.
"I am going back home without cutting plaster removed as there is not a single cutter available in the biggest hospital of the Jammu province," a patient lamented.
