JKCTEA condemns lathicharge on Anganwari workers

Jammu, Sept 23: President J&K Commercial Taxes Employees Association and State Vice President of Employees Joint Action Committee (K) Nazir Ahmed Bhat condemned the use of force on the angnwari workers. As per press release, the Anganwari workers staged protest at press colony and were demanding hike in their wages and are now on hunger strike, and today laid themselves on road near Regal Chowk at Lal Chowk Srinagar to stress upon the Govt. for settlement of their long pending demands. Bhat while condemning the use of force on these workers demanded that Chief Minister and concerned Minister should personally intervene into the matter and should take necessary steps to increase the wages of the anganwari workers and helpers. Bhat also demanded that arrested workers and helpers should be released without any delay or inviting confrontation with the employees which proves/ shows total failure of State Government. Besides above Bhat stated that the State Govt has failed to issue the orders of removal of Pay anomalies / disparities in favour of Clerical Cadre employees despite the recommendations of 2 pay anomaly committees reports, Judgment of High Court and the announcement made by FM at SKICC Srinagar on 25-12-2016 and in assembly house during budget session.
