Home ministry directs Mehbooba to get cracking on braid- chopping rumours
10/18/2017 10:16:06 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 18: The home ministry has directed the state government to take immediate measures to check the hysteria of the 'braid-chopping' in Srinagar, which the ministry believes has the serious potential of turning into a systematic agitation. Accordiing to the sources, the government has also been directed to get in touch with the locals and impress upon it not to stoke the hysteria, which it has been doing for the last some time. "Has any where in India such hysteria has been created? Why in Kashmir only? It just another ploy to crate unrest. Till now we have been seeing the things in a relatively cool manner but now we are bit edgy as things are slowly taking a bit serious turn and state government not showing the pro-active stand," said the top official in the ministry. The sources said the ministry is also equally concerned why the results have not come ever after the formation of the special investigation team and that too after a considerable reward was also announced. "We believe the government is showing the same easy as it did in 2016. That time too it allowed protests to carryon hoping that they will subside and results are everyone to see. We have taken control of the things after such a great effort and don't want to lose the gain by the braid-chopping kind of nonsense. And, we have communicated to the government about it too," said the sources.
