PPREF congrats teaching community, Govt for achieving 2nd rank

Rajouri, Nov 24: Pir Panjal Regional Employees Front (PPREF) today congratulated teaching community and state government for achieve 2nd rank in education in the entire country.
According to press release, a meeting was held here at Rajouri, during the meeting the front congratulated the teachers of the State and Minister for Education, Commissioner Secretary, Directors Education (Jammu & Kashmir provinces) all the Chief Education Officers for their efforts for this achievement.
The annual survey by India Today is based on objective data sourced from government and other authentic sources to gauge the performance of Indian states across various parameters such as economy, health, agriculture, education and infrastructure.
In a meeting of PPREF held at Rajouri, orgnaised by its general secretary, GM Charak and chaired by its chairman, Shahbaz Khen, office holder have congratulated the teaching fraternity for this achievement and also expressed their concern over poor functioning in the government schools in far flung areas.
"Sooner or later people have to accept the role and service of teachers in serving the society.
Teachers have proved their mettle and worth during most challenging times and it could become possible by their hard work, dedication towards their duties and selfless services" said Shahbaz Khan.
Office bearers and leaders of PPREF were of the view that more is needed to be done in achieving more successes in the future. They added many government schools still lack subject teachers, adequate infrastructure. Political interference has badly affected the transparent working of the department. It should be stopped and efficient and capable officers should be given responsibilities.
"Schools in far flung areas facing shortage of teachers while the schools in urban areas are having surplus staff having political back" said Tilak Raj, spokesman PPREF. He added under CAG guidelines any person appointed under Actual Line of Control (ALC), Resident of Backward Area (RBA) categories, should have to serve in their respective area for 7 years.
"But in nexus with higher authorities and political leaders many among them have managed their postings in urban areas thus leaving the poor students on the mercy of God" he said. PPREF office bearers have appealed to the Education Minister and Commissioner Secretary to take stringent action against thos who have violated CAG guidelines in the past and are still in process to make such appointments under LAC/ RBA categories.
