Dineshwar's outreach exposes frictions in Hurriyat

Jammu, Dec 6: The cracks in the separatists' camp has started widening after the interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma has started meeting people and also the Hurriyat leaders to find a 'permanent' solution to the problems facing the Jammu and Kashmir.
In a latest development Javid Ahmad Mir, heading the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) faction had in a written has written to the Mirwaiz Umar Farooq that his faction would no longer be part of the Hurriyat Conference. Though, he has not given any specific or details about his decision but had said that he was being sidelined by the Hurriyat leadership especially when he had undergone operation for the eyes. This decision comes in the backdrop of Dineshwar Sharma holding meeting with the another senior Hurriyat leader Prof Abdul Gani Bhat. The sources said the India has decided to rope in hold dialogue with the Hurriyat leaders who are deemed 'liberal' and 'flexible' in the first phase and then extend it further.
"Both the Mir and Bhat Sahab know that continuous hostility with the India will not bear any result except for the miseries of the Kashmiri people so it's heartening that they are coming forward. Though, Mir has not decided to meet the interlocutor publicly, but there is strong possibility that he may have been holding backchannel communications with him," said a top official .
The sources said that Modi government has decided to make it quite clear that it's sincere in its resolve to solve the problem and in the process what ever the necessary symbolism or decisions which send a positive feelers and make ground would be done. "The feelers the Dineshwar is getting is quite impressive. Frictions within the Hurriyat could have not come for nothing. A lot of hardwork has been done and is still being down to bring the peace by all possible means with the twin strategy of going all out against terrorists and holding dialogue. It has started bearing results," said the official
