Educational institutions celebrate Shivratri

Jammu, Feb 12:Educational institutes across Jammu today celebrated Shivratri with fervor and gaiety.
Dewan Devi Playway celebrated Shivaratri in the premises of the school. Students of Kindergarten wing clad in Shiv Parvati dresses presented a beautiful sight. Students took part in the Marriage ceremony of Lord Shiva and Parvati and sought their blessings. The principal of the school appreciated the students for their performance and advised them to follow the path of Lord Shiva and try to gain more and more knowledge in their life.
Mount Litera Zee School Jammu and its junior wing "Kidzee" celebrated "Mahashivratri" in the school Premises with religious fervour and enthusiasm in the presence of Chairman Er. Parneesh Mahajan, Liaison Officer Harvinder Singh Sihotra, Principal Manikarnika Bhasin, Coordinator Radhika Mahajan, staff and students.
The function started with special assembly in which the teachers gave demonstrations regarding the occasion in which students and staff delivered speeches related to "MAHASHIVRATRI". The kids were dressed in Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati's costumes depicting beliefs of devotees in them.
A corner was decorated related to "Mahashivratri" for making the children aware about this festival. Speaking on the occasion Er. Parneesh Mahajan said that "Mahashivratri" is a great festival of hindus and the motive behind the celebration is convergence of Shiva and Shakti.
KIDZEE, a pre-school of "ZEE Learn Ltd. Celebrated Mahashivratri at its branches Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat, Talab Tillo and Trikuta Nagar with religious fervor and enthusiasm.
The function started with the special assembly in which the teachers gave demonstration regarding the occasions in which students and staff delivered speeches related to Mahashivratri. The toddlers were dressed up in Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati's costumes depicting the beliefs of devotees in them. A corner was decorated related to Mahashivratri for making the children aware about this festival. The students were made aware about the motive behind the celebration which symbolizes the convergence of Shiva and Shakti.
Vishwa Bharati College of Education celebrated Mahashivratri in college auditorium today. The programme started with chanting of Mantras by Archana that reverberated in the auditorium at the time of lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest J.L.Koul, President V.B.Women's Welfare Institution, Dr. O.P.Razdan Senior member management and other dignitaries present on the occasion. At the onset, Prof. Sunita Kampassi welcomed J.L.Koul Chief Guest Dr. O.P.Razdhan and other management
Maharaja Hari Singh DAV public Hr Sec School organizes impressive function in School auditorium where tiny scholars of the institution presented a number of programmes pretaining to Lord Shiva and Parvati. The programme started with Shiv Vivah presented by the students of UKG class.
