Pro Pak slogans inside Assembly have fuelled anti nationals: Harsh
2/12/2018 9:25:47 PM
Early Times Report

Ramnagar, Feb 12: While assigning the charge of criticizing the NC MLA's Pro Pak harangues inside the Assembly to its lower level leaders, the BJP Ministers preferred to maintain stoic silence inside the legislature with no action whatsoever initiated against the defiant legislature for his highly seditious conduct, regretted Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and Former Minister.
He said that some feeble noises made by a handful of BJP MLAs had failed to convince the nationalist people of Jammu and even BJP workers who felt extremely embarrassed and humiliated over the pusillanimity of their mandated leaders vainly attempting to play to the galleries. "Why has action not been initiated against the delinquent MLA for defying the constitution despite his solemn pledge to safeguard the same?" asked Harsh.
Describing the ugly episode of Pak eulogy inside the legislature by NC MLA, Singh said that BJP leaders had hurt the nationalist sentiment and Dogra pride once again by failing to respond appropriately to the situation. He was addressing public meetings in the final leg of his three day tour of various villages including Chigli Rassain, Battal, Chororta of Ramnagar constituency.
Describing the episode as an affront to national honour, Singh said that such a seditious act had not only desecrated the temple of democracy but had emboldened and fuelled the anti nationals forces operating in the state. He said that with support to Pro Pak forces emanating from the floor of the Assembly and that too in saffron flavoured govt, the shockingly egregious episode was certainly a shot in the arm for the enemies of the nation.
Attributing the NC legislators opprobrious conduct and highly offending statement to the appeasement policy pursued by the BJP-PDP govt with regard to Pro Pak elements and its "soft separatism" approach, Singh said that never before had the most sacrosanct institution of democracy been so insulted and abused with the "Jingoistic" BJP shamelessly watching the perpetrators of seditious acts.
"How could an MLA dare in the first instance to raise Pro Pak slogans inside the Assembly in the presence of the so called nationalists, who gave certificates of nationalism to all and how FIR could be lodged against Army during BJP rule," said Harsh, adding that the BJP needed to introspect.
