Top BJP leaders sabotage move to corner Akbar Lone in Assembly
2/12/2018 11:09:39 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 12: Although there is nationwide anger against Pakistan Zindabad slogans shouted by National Conference MLA Mohammad Akbar Lone in the Legislative Assembly on Saturday, BJP members today held symblic protest only for face saving and to befool the people.
All BJP MLAs in the Assembly were stood up to protest against Lone but only R S Pathania, MLA Ramnagar, Rajiv Jasrotia, MLA Kathua and Choudhary Sukhnand were vocal, all others were half-heartedly holding protest in the Assembly.
Some senior BJP members including some party ministers were not feeling comfortable when three MLAs were vociferously demanding action against Lone. Pathania and Jasrotia have demanded registration of FIR against Lone for his irresponsible and unconstitutional remarks.
Credible sources said that before beginning of today's proceedings, senior BJP leaders and ministers have directed young party MLAs not to make an issue to corner Lone. They were directed to hold symbolic protests for media coverage as 'face saving' exercise.
Credible sources said that Mohammad Akbar Lone has some secrets of senior BJP ministers and these leaders feared that Lone would expose them in and outside the Assembly so they would allow young lot to make it a big issue in the Assembly.
Sources said that recently Lone had collected some official documents in which some financial misdeeds of BJP leaders and their family members have been mentioned. In these financial misdeeds some senior BJP leaders have been involved so it is all due these misdeeds that young MLAs were not allowed to corner Akbar Lone in the Assembly.
