Ever Green Public School celebrates Annual Day

Jammu, Feb 18: Ever Green Public School Pallanwala, celebrated Annual Day function on 18-02-2018 with pump and show at Pallanwala Zone Khour (Jammu).
Prof. Vishal Sharma, visiting academics, The University of Sheffield, United Kingdom (UK) and presently Head, Department of Electronics Govt. M. A. M. College was the chief Guest on the occasion, while Advocate Yash Karan Singh Bhau was the guest of honour and Mansha Khajuria, Librarian Govt. Higher Secondary School Jhiri was the special guest. The glistering ceremony commenced with the lightening of ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries followed by recitation on Gayatri Mantra and Saraswati Vandana, which was followed by a colourful cultural programme presented by the students.
Earlier Principal of the school, Rekha Bhau presented welcome address and also school annual report. Prof. (Dr.) Karan Singh, founder member of the institution, introduced the Chief Guest to the students and the general public and also showcase the theme of the annual day function i.e. to spread awareness regarding science and various opportunities in career in India and abroad to the students residing near the actual line of control (ALC).
He announced the opening of 50 accounts of Girls students under "Beti Bachao Bedi Padhao" abhiyan by Government of India and also take feedback of the previous 50 accounts opened last year under the same initiative. Prof. Anil Kumar Ganjoo, Head Department of Physics Govt. M. A. M. College Jammu appreciated the vision and the steps taken by Prof. Karan Singh for the students and his community. He committed to provide full support for any community work in the region. Speaking at the occasion, Mansha Khajuria Special Guest appreciated the students for their excellent performance and also encouraged the students to take part in "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" with full enthusiasm.
She quoted the example of various girls who has made India proud at national and international level to motivate the general public to provide education to the girls who are not less than boys in any field.
