MLC announces bridge over Qasim Nagar nallah

Jammu, Feb 20: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa today conducted an extensive tour to the Qasim Nagar near Bahu Fort in Gandhi Nagar assembly constituency and announced the construction of a small bridge for an unconnected hamlet.
Ch. Vikram during his visit to the Qasim Nagar on the outskirt of the Jammu city took stock of the various developmental works and the problems being faced by the people of the area. During the visit Randhawa came to know that a locality having more than 350 houses which on an average have population of more than 1400 souls does not has any road connectivity and the people have to cross a nallah to reach their houses.
MLC himself crossed that nallah and visited the locality to interact with the residents who appreciated the sincere efforts of Vikram Randahwa. The residents of the locality demanded construction of a small bridge over the nallah so that they may not face any more problems in the coming future.
Randhawa said that the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is committed for the development of the poor and under developed hamlets. Randhawa said that he is
"I am shocked to see that the area within the municipality limits does not have any road connectivity and people cross this nallah to reach their houses which is a matter of shame for those who ruled the state for years" Randhawa added. He assured the people that a small bridge sooner be constructed over the nallah at Qasim Nagar which would bring an end to the miseries of the people.
Randhawa on the spot directed the team of the officials of the Block office to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) so that the construction of the small bridge could be started and completed well in time before the onset of the rainy season.
The locals thanked the MLC and extended him full support in the coming future. Others who were present on the occasion include Dalbir Singh, Subash Chander, Tarun Sharma, Amit Gupta, Ajay Sharma and others.
