Doctors from GMC Jammu bring laurels to State

Jammu, Feb 21: Adding another feather to his cap, Prof. Dr Annil Mahajan, Head Department of General Medicine, Government Medical College Jammu has been felicitated with the rare distinction of taking over as Editor- In-Chief of the Official Journal of Indian Menopause Society (IMS) in the annual national conference-IMSCON 2018 held at Gurugram.
Journal of Midlife Health (JMH) is the academic face of IMS and is one of the very prestigious journals of the country. JMH is indexed in Pubmed, MEDLINE/Index Medicus, PubMed Central, SCOPUS and many other indexing agencies, which are the ultimate and most reputed and respected indexing agency in the international arena of medical journalism. He is the only medical faculty from this region after Dr Sudhaa Sharma Prof of Obst and Gyane, GMC Jammu to be honoured with such prestigious assignment and has taken over this assignment from her after successful completion of her two year tenure ship as chief editor. Dr Mahajan, Chairman of the Teacher Eligibility Criteria (TEQ) Committee & former Executive Committee Member MCI has more than 80 scientific publications, ten book chapter and is a invited faculty for more than 35 National/ International conferences. He has been awarded GB Jain Oration by Indian Academy Clinical Medicine and other prestigious fellowships like Fellow Rheumatology, Fellow Royal College of Physician Edinburg (FRCP), FICP, FIACM, FIMSA. Dr Vishal R Tandon, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology also has been nominated as Associate Editor by Governing Council of Indian Menopause Society for JMH. Dr Tandon is also a Editor In Chief at Present for JK Science Journal of Medical Education and research and has more than 140 original research papers and 15 book chapters to his credit and being invited faculty more than 35 times in various national international conferences.
