BJP ministers pulled for being 'insensitive'
3/19/2018 11:48:21 PM
Early Times Report
jammu, Mar 19: The BJP high command has pulled up the State Ministers and even MP for not visiting the Poonch where five members of a family died in Pakistan shelling.
Sources said the ministers especially the Health Minister has been severely pulled for showing the callous 'insenstivity'.
"It was display of brazen insensitivity by the BJP ministers for not rushing to the spot where five members of the family have died in Pak firing. We have taken hard stand on the Pak and if residents of state more so of the Jammu region, where BJP has political base, are left to lurch for themselves and BJP ministers are missing what kind of governance and message are we leaving? And, mind it, it is not the first instance. It has been happening in the past also," said the top BJP functionary in the New Delhi.
"If the CM can rush a day after the incident, why couldn't the BJP ministers do the same should have been prompt in reaching there. The state aircraft is always available and other resources could have been arranged. For what they were waiting," said the sources.
The incident reflects more poorly as the Jammu-Poonch seat is represented by the BJP in the party and it even has MLC from the Poonch.
The sources said if party which is at the helm of the political dispensation of this region is missing on the ground, than it' could have very far reaching consequences for the party in the coming elections.
"The PM is making right pitches to reach out to the people of the state. The Home Minister just a day made another pitch to accommodate the youth of the Kashmir but here our own ministers are missing from the scene more in the Jammu region. What more wrong the state leadership can do?, " said the sources.
