Udhampur, Apr 15 :With state passing through the embarrassment and shame of Rassana rape and murder case, another incident of humiliation has come to the fore in Udhampur, where a juvenile has allegedly attempted to rape a 3 year old child.
In the atrocious incident, a 15 year old milk delivery boy tried to rape a three year old girl, of a poor family. Father of the victim while Talking to Early times told that he left home early for Gurdwara, but as he reached Chabutra Bazar, he received a call from his neighbour telling that his children were crying badly. On rushing back home, my 6 year old son narrated the entire incident to me. "He told me that the accused took my little daughter in the next room and tried to rape her. When my son raised alarm and shouted loudly, the accused got scared and fled from the spot" he told. The matter was reported to the police, who reached the spot and started investigation, but while Rassana incident gained so much infamy and became a national issue, no agency or NGO came forward to deliver justice to a 3-years old daughter of a poor labourer. |
