PSA condemns Govt for imposing cases on Private Schools
4/18/2018 10:33:24 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 18: Private School Association (PSA) condemned state government for ruining private school in state.
Addressing a press conference here, Kamal Gupta protested against the new policies & number of hurdles deliberately being created by the centre and State governments to discourage the initiative of self supporting Private schools which are working tirelessly for the welfare of general public at minimum cost.
Gupta briefed that till date government has never bothered to stream line the educational system and every government authority has always come up with hypothetical, unrealistic and unreasonable suggestions and approaches.
"The constitution of Fee Fixation committee for the Private Educational Institutions without any policy and frame work issued its order no. 106 of 2017 in which Private School were authorized to enhance their fee @ 8% while keeping base year August 2014. The successive orders issued by FFC in the month of November 2017, December 2017, January 2018 and February 2018 are all anti private schools. It depicts the frustration of government in general & FFC in particular", he said.
He further said that the ,embers condemned the action by District Magistrate Kathua for imposing section 144 Cr. P.C. around all Private schools without any rational thinking as his order created confusion, chaos, ill will and hatred for entire Private Educational hierarchy.
"Every Education and district authority of Jammu Division issued orders one by one and different and opposite notifications to dent the working, and image of Private schools in the society. None the less the Association appreciates the meeting which was convened by District Development Commissioner Jammu Kumar Rajeev Ranjan in which his presumptions and suggestions were found positive", he said and added that the members were critical of opening of sale counters of stationery, uniforms, books, water bottles etc. in the school premises.
