DPS Nagbani celebrates 'Earth Day'

Jammu, Apr 20: Delhi Public School Nagbani was abuzz with educational and fun activities conducted for Earth Day on 18th, 19th and 20th April 2018. The children actively took part in the activities which included poster making wherein students painted their thoughts and wrote slogans on nature conservation. The celebration of Earth Day culminated on 20th April 2018 with a special assembly in which speeches on importance of nature and its protection were given by the students from different classes. To sensitize about the importance of saving environment a skit was organized which helped to motivate everyone to keep the planet beautiful as ever. Students took an enthusiastic part in the Green Walk which was also organized in the school premises. The students held Banners and colourful charts which read 'Go Green' and 'Plan a tree today'. Children learnt the importance of preserving planet earth. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the school R. K. Verma said, 'The Earth Day' celebration offers opportunities to both teach about the issue and make an environmental impact. He said that it was a great way to showcase environmental education. He said that all of us should come forward and engage our efforts to make a difference.
