| BJP - A sinking ship | | | R.B. Suri
1.State Scenerio
From the prevailing political scenario of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, it is transpired that Bhartiya Janata Party in the state has totally surrendered before its coalition partner PDP. In connection with the ongoing agitation under the banner of 'Hindu Ekta Manch' in Kathua District over Rassana rape and murder case, BJP has sacked its two Cabinet Ministers Ch. Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga from the Coalition Government under the pressure of the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who is acting these on the dictates of the Hurriyat Amalgamation in the valley . Now BJP has become as a 'Sinking Ship'. After the Assembly elections in 2014, when there was no party in the state having the absolute majority to form the government on its own, BJP joined its hands with the ideologically different political party- PDP and formed the Coalition Government under the Chief Ministership of Late Mufti Mohammed Sayeed . After the death of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, Mehbooba Mufti took the command of the government in the state and at the moment she is running the government . Pertinent to mention here that right from the beginning after the committal of the heinous crime of rape and murder of eight years tribal girl, people of Kathua District at large were demanding the CBI probe in the matter but it was strange to note that the State Government was rigid and adamant on getting the matter investigated by the crime branch of J&K Police as it was not interested at all that the probe , in question , be made by the Country's best and premier investigating agency - CBI. While rejecting the same, it opted for the crime branch of J&K Police for the said investigation .While talking to the Gulistan News Channel, Former BJP Minister Chander Parkash Ganga on Sunday evening telecast, stated before the interviewer that landed into the Kathua agitation fray on the directions of the state party President Sat Sharma C.A and after feeling the pulse of the people agitating there demanded a CBI Probe into the Rassana rape and murder issue and lost his berth into the State Cabinet . He made it very clear that he doesn't have any resentment on this score but in the breath he further advanced his argument that not to talk of the ministerial berth , he even is ready to loose his MLA ship for the cause of the people of Samba and Kathua District who posed a strong confidence over him during their continuous struggle against the State Government in the said matter . Similar was the reaction of Ch. Lal Singh in this regard also as reported in the media . Needless to mention here that already BJP is the ultimate target of the Jammuites , which has failed on all the fronts in delivering the goods to the people of Jammu while remaining in power . Jammuites are feeling highly furious against style of functioning of the leadership and about the performance the Cabinet Ministers of BJP in the Coalition Government led by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti . Since 2015, whenit entered into an alliance with PDP to govern the state of Jammu and Kashmir jointly though they were having the different political ideologies of the North and South poles of the globe, it has many ups and downs but now it has reached out at such a stage from where the returning is not possible so easy. By sacking its two Cabinet Ministers who joined and shared the stage with 'Hindu Ekta Manch'at Kathua in connection with the Rassana rape and murder case for demanding the CBI probe instead of the probe by the crime branch of the state Police into the matter , its credibility is damaged to the large extent . This created a wide gap between the partners in the Coalition Government . Already there is hue and cry against BJP and the people of the Jammu Division are on the streets in demanding the District status for Nowshera and Ramnagar and Mendhar . They are holding the regular protests and the demonstrations on this score in support of their genuine demands .By making the scape goat BJP of its 2 Cabinet Ministers, it has shown its colours which are detrimental to the interests of the Jammuites has now attained the shape of a 'SINKING SHIP' in the state as the people are coming out of their houses and are holding the protests against the deeds and actions of BJP in Jammu Division . It is apprehended that if they will not improve their functioning the people of the Jammu region will stop them from coming out of their houses . The central leadership of BJP instead of compromising with PDP in all the natters concerning people of Jammu Division , it should maintain the edge over PDP in the state otherwise it will have to face the music in the days to come for which they themselves will be held responsible. BJP is earning the bad name instead of gettingthe sympathies of the Jammuites at large . With the passage of time after having seen the style of functioning of its ministers , the people of Jammu have become wise enough in showing their cards to them . Need of the hour is that state BJP leadership should consolidate and introspect indepthly to see as to what has happened to them and why people are keeping the distance to them ? Need of the hour is that its leadership should introspect the pros and cons of its continuance in the Coalition Government led by the chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who is also making the double standard in dealing with it as also with the leadership of the Hurriayat group in the valley headed by its President Sarai who has very recently took the command after the removal SAS Geelani unceremoniously at the behest the PAK Rulers and it is worth mentioning that his son and the son in law Fantoosh have been booked by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for enjoying the liberak funding from Pakistan from time to time.
BJP Ministers are playing the double role in respect of Article 370 and article 35A of the Indian Constitution which need immediate attention of the readers on top priority . Actually ther are not deceiving the masses particularly but they are deceiving themselves at the cost of the nation also and ultimately they will reach at the stage from where no return would be possible. Not only this , BJP Hjgh command is also feeling disturbed on this score . They are watching the state affairs with much concern and seriousness . Jammu region has been discriminated by the BJP/ PDP Coalition Government in the astate in the Case of selection of teachers , +2 lecturers , Junior Asstts in Sectt. subordinates services , Adhoc lecturers , KAS cadres , SPOs etc. Other political parties are making their resentments against the actions of the state government . BJP stalwarts are keeping mum totally and have the free hand to PDP partner to discriminate Jammu to the maximum extent . Things will be more clear when the results of Panchayat / ULB elections will come , if the elections are held in the state.
2. National Scenerio
No doubt , BJP is running the government at the national level thereby enjoying the absolute majority in the Lok Sabha as also in the Rajya Sabha where it has improved its strength by winning the elections in 3 states in the North Eastern region of the country very recently . At the same time prior to it , BJP lost the three seats (MP) of Lok Sabha in UP and Bihar This has made a big jolt to its popularity. Having seen no positive results due to the Demonetisation of the currency notes of Rupees 500 and Rs. 1000 and the implementation of the GST in the country , the people of the country are the great resentment against Modi government which is increasing day by day . At the moment INC is gaining the momentum across the country which is of a great concern for them in view of the coming lok sabha elections in May, 2019. These days the leadership of BJP is busy in devising the new strategies to deal with the new challenges as also the political situation in the country . Its leadership is trying its best to improve upon further and will check the growing resentment of the people against it . With the ongoing missiles fight launched by USA Administration led by Donald Trump in Syria these days the Prime Minister Narender Modi is feeling helpless in deciding what to do now ( rather he is in fix as what to do ?) and finding himself in 'DHARAM SANKAT' as to whether to go with USA or USSR? His friendship with the President of USA Donald Trump is new and it is important to state that USA always supported and aided Pakistan liberally in te past and saved Pakistan many a times by using VETO power against India . This is the well established history . And on the contrary , it was USSR who supported India always in the past and used its VETO power against Pakistan many a times . A big question mark is there for Narender Modi as what to do next ? As per the existing national political scenario , political experts feel that BJP and its affiliates under the banner of NDA would fetch about 200 MP seats in the Lok Sabha elections -2019. Due to the Demonetization of the currency notes of rupees 500 and 1000 done by Modi government in the country in 2016 , the Banking sector has been hit badly to the large extent resulting which the banks are facing the liquidity problems as is evident from the fact that these days almost all the ATMs operating across the country are generally empty with the result people are facing problems due the non availability of cash . This gives the impression that the Banks are not observing the provision Section 18 of the Banking Regulation Act 1949 and this means that they are violating the Banking Regulation Act 1949. In the days to come , it is apprehended that if they not comply with the provisions of the said Act their licenses to the banking in the country would be at stake With all this untoward factors , there would be a big crisis in the Banking sector which need to be looked into at the earliest possible . Therefore, it becomes obligatory on the part of the Modi government to act promptly consultation with RBI on this score .Keeping in view the preceding lines of the article, the leadership of BJP may apply its mind cooly to plug the loopholes / weakening at the earliest for saving its ship from sinking without any fault of the countrymen who gave them the massive mandate in the Lok Sabha elections -2014. Under these circumstances , BJP is on the Sinking ship whose command is with Amit Shah . Let's hope for the best . |
