Pen down strike of Clerical cadre enters 11th day

Jammu, May 3: Clerical Cadre parlayed the functioning in Government Offices/Government Treasuries on 11th consecutive day of Kam Choro/Pen Down Hartal. The employees across the State held strong protest against the government at respective Director Health Services wherein the clerical cadre employees from all Departments gathered on the call given by the Coordination committee Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association and raised slogans against collation Government.
Reacting to the statement of Finance Minister the coordination committee said that we are fed up from the fake assurances. The strike shall be continued till issuance of order for removal of Pay Anomalies of clerical cadre of 5th Pay Commission while granting the pay scale of Rs. 4000-6000 to Junior Assistant, Rs.4500-7000 to Senior Assistant, and Rs 5500-9000 to Head Assistant. Notionally w.e.f. 01-01-1996 and monetary w.e.f 19-02-2003 as has already granting in favour of other cadres will not issued.
They also appeal to the government to shun the path of confrontation with the employees. Also in strong protests were held at Government Treasuries, where the employees from various departments sitting for the last many days and nobody allowed to enter in the treasuries or to draw the bills. The team led by Ravi Singh Bahu Sukhbir Singh, Omkar Verma and others had visited various Treasuries/Offices in Akhnoor Sub Division and appealed the clerical cadre to unite. While speaking in the different Office Complexes the employees rejected with one voice the announcement of finance minister regarding formation of pay anomaly committee and said that the Government should immediately issue order for removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, otherwise the clerical cadre is ready for decisive struggle.
