Health Minister inaugurates JK Bank ATM near Chichi Mata temple

Jammu, May 3: Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, Minister for Health and Medical Education today inaugurated an ATM facility of J&K Bank near Chichi Mata Mandir, Samba in the presence of Parvez Ahmed, Chairman and CEO JK Bank, Deputy Commissioner Samba, SSP Samba, Vice Presidents JK bank, distinguished businessmen of Samba and residents of the area. The ATM facility was installed as per request of local residents to ease their cash access besides facilitating the devotees visiting from all parts of the country to the shrine of Chichi Mata.
The Health Minister congratulated the Chairman and team of JK Bank for accepting the request of residents and offering dedicated services to all parts of state, thereby sending a warm message of "Service to people above all." He said that JK Bank is one of the finest examples of a well functioning institution sensitive towards the needs of people and constantly aiming to offer best service to all. He further said," The area still needs more intervention by the bank in terms of offering formal credit and other banking services which can help people uplift from poverty towards self-sufficiency through small business ventures and it will be all the more beneficial if more Business Units can be set-up to serve people better." Taking cognizance of the request, Parvez Ahmed advised his team to undertake a comprehensive survey of the area to explore and identify the locations for penetration of Banking services in the unbanked areas of the Samba District .
He hailed the Minister for acceding to the request of the bank to inaugurate the ATM facility for the devotees and residents in the area. Interacting with people, Mr. Ahmed said that the Bank is committed to offering the highest standards of customer service delivery at the door steps and enhancing their outreach in service of the people. He said that the bank is preparing a comprehensive plan to ensure an accessible service point to every village. He said that the Bank has launched a series of Digital Products and services which are completely user friendly and shall help people do away with any time constraint to visit bank branches. A Product Mela was also organized for the people regarding Housing and other Consumer Finance Products relevant to the needs of the area.
The residents expressed their gratitude to the Bank for promptly acceding to their request and establishing ATM in a very short span.
