Early Times Report
Kishtwar, May 16: Mystery has shrouded the disappearance of 30 year old Tariq Hussain son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Srawana Keshwan in Kishtwar after social media activity was noticed on his mobile number, three weeks after his disappearance.
The intelligence sources looking into the disappearance of Tariq Hussain whose missing report was lodged by the family members with Kishtwar police on 19-3-2018 claim that he used the Mobile No. 84xxxxxxx52 and left a whatsapp group namely "Kishtwar news" on 8-4-2018 which suggested that he was alive.
The sources said that the Tariq left the "Whatsapp" group in the evening on 8-4-2018, 25 days after he disappeared from his home under mysterious circumstances, further intensifying the mystery behind his disappearance.
The sources said that the matter was immediately brought into the notice of senior police officers of Kishtwar, but nothing was done till date towards solving the mystery behind it. The intelligence sources said that they all are probing the matter through all possible angles .
It is pertinent to mention that the relatives of Tariq Hussain even held a strong protest at Kishtwar so as to put pressure on the police and administration to trace him, following which Kishtwar police detained a father of five children Akther Hussain who was shifted to GMC Jammu in critical condition followed by the claim of the Kishtwar Police that he (Akther) made a suicide attempt inside the police station Kishtwar after he was confronted with his wife who had received several calls on her mobile number from the missing Tariq Hussain and also register FIR U/S 309 RPC against him.
The family members of Akther Hussain though filed a case against the senior police officials of Kishtwar alleging torture, but later the victim reportedly admitted in the court that he had attempted suicide. Following the confession by Akther Hussain in court, Kishtwar police set him and his wife free and never summoned them again for the investigation into the case.
