Jammu, May 17: Green Citizens of Jammu launched a plantation drive of medicinal trees in Supers Specialty Hospital, Jammu. Under the project 'We4treez' more than 100 medicinal plants will be planted in different phases which will be an added asset to the beauty of Jammu. Plantation drive was launched in compensation to the trees which have been cut down few days back from the premises of Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu in order to construct a building by the PWD, a patch of land in Super Specialty Hospital was demarcated to be developed into Herbal Garden. To commence the project "We4Treez", an inaugural Plantation Drive was held. The drive was inaugurated by Dr. Arun Sharma, Medical Superintendent, Super specialty Hospital, followed by Plantation of around 30 plants of varied species, having countless medicinal and herbal values were planted at the demarcated patch of land. We4Treez is the joint venture of different organizations, viz (Green Jammu Forum, DISHA, Wildlife Conservation Fund and Environmental Awareness Forum) that have come together for the common cause and are focused on conservation and restoration of Green cover across the Jammu. Those who participated in the event includes Dr. Arun Sharma, M S Super Specialty Hospital, Dharminder Sharma, DFO Urban Jammu, B L Parimoo, Prof Bhola Nath, Dr. C M Seth, Advocate Dewakar Sharma, Vinod Sahni, Dr. Karan Singh, Pavneet Kour, Samvedna, Priyanka, Versha, Neha, Radhika, Surya, Abdul Qayoom, Mubarakh Ali, Ravish, Sahil, Harbind, Vishal, Anil and others. |
