DySP doubles as property dealer, strikes deal on 45 kanal state land
5/24/2018 11:09:11 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, May 24: A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) who is posted as Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) in one of the sub divisions of a district of Jammu-Kathua-Samba (JKS) range has allegedly struck a deal on fencing 45 kanals state land which is in illegal possession of a contractor.
"The SDPO who name earlier also surfaced in deals on disputed and state lands has once again come into limelight after he pressed his 'karyakhas' for the specific job", said sources in the police department, adding that for this purpose, the DySP has demanded half share in the land.
If sources are to be believed, a chunk of 45 kanals of state land situated in Birpur area of Samba is in illegal possession of a contractor. The DySP has promised construction of boundary wall of the said state land in lieu of half share of the said land.
Sources further maintained that the DySP has ordered his 'karyakhas' for the job to clear obstacles in the deal, and if situation remains favourable for the DySP, construction of boundary wall on the said state land would start within few days.
It is pertinent to mention here that the DySP in question was also reprimanded by former Director General of Police (DGP) when his involvement surfaced in land grabbing at Jammu city.
