Boys dies after Kacha house caves in at Rajouri

RAJOURI, June 10: A disabled father in Rajouri district today received a jolt when the roof of his Kachha house collapsed and his only son received fatal injuries while his friend received injuries and is under treatment at district hospital.
The deceased has been identified 14 years old Vinay Kumar s/o Surinder Singh resident of village Kural in Kalakot tehsil.
On receiving information Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhry, DDC Rajouri immediately deputed Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kalakot to the village and provided immediate relief assistance of Rs 1 lakh to the bereaved poor family.
The villagers and the relatives have requested to Deputy Commissioner to provide immediate relief to the poor family.
"Besides immediate relief assistance of Rs 1 lakh, district administration has also sanctioned a case for the construction of the house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY)" said Khalid Hussain, ADC, Kalakot.
Reports said that the deceased namely Vinay and his friend Ajay Kumar s/o Bau Ram were present in the house at the time of mishap and were watching TV programmes when the roof collapsed.
Villagers and relatives rushed to the spot and rescued both the youth from the debris but couldn't save Vinay while Ajay was rushed to nearby health centre and later was referred to district hospital.
"The father of the deceased is hearing impaired and the deceased was the only brother of three sisters and an earning hand for the poor family" said a villager.
